SMKSJ, Sekolah Berkesan 20.. what?

My first post in a while. Wanted to make it about why I changed my blog layout but I'll leave it to another post.

As you all can see(especially my SJ friends), remember that?

Wasn't it "Sekolah Berkesan 2008?" It was during our final year there. So.... it should be "Sekolah Berkesan" already right? right?

Well wrong, now it's "Sekolah Berkesan 2010" I am not sure if they changed it or if it was always 2010 cause I remember it to be very nice sounding rhyme you know like, berkesan and lapan.

So are they saying that it wasn't "berkesan" enough in our final year? And they can postpone it a couple of years? Or are they having a sort of "Nostradamus roulette" thing.

For those who don't know what "Nostradamus roulette" is, it was created by the non-believers of Nostradamus of course. Anyway, it's more like you bet on a number and you keep spinning it until you get the number you bet on and naturally you always win and never lose. (something like that)

So back to the main point, is our school going to keep on betting on a year to make it become a "Sekolah Berkesan"? How "berkesan" is that?

Yeah, people will say in the future "Yes, we hit the target!!!" but how many times have you failed to hit it?

I'm not saying my school sucks or anything but, if one knows they can't hit a target, better off not setting a target at all.

Right?

Schumacher is back!!!!

Yes!!!

After weeks of speculation, Schumi is now back in F1 =D.

As many of my friends know, I'm an avid fa of F1 and also of Michael Schumacher(who in my opinion is the best driver in F1 =D)

Sadly I won't be able to watch much of the F1 races that is going to be held next year due to my curfew >.<.

I say it would be one of the most exciting seasons next year.

And all we need to do is just to wait...

Questions

Been a long time since I posted something so I guess I should post something since my return from Singapore.

Ok..... so been about a week since I came back, only went out once for badminton.. waiting for the next outing ^^.

Been thinking quite a bit since I came back (due to the fact that i have SO much free time >.<).

Should I or should I not. Go forward and see what's next or put it in reverse and see what I have missed.

All these questions... so many yet so little time..

Let's hope..... well I hope that the answer would be clear to me before going back to Singapore.

Bintan trip

So... my class went for an OCIP( Overseas Community Involvement Project).

Which means basically trying to help people there. So.... first day went to Bintan.

Checked into the hotel, 3 ppl to a room and the room was damn small at first so it was changed later on.

Anyways just less than 5 minutes after going to our rooms and then coming out of it for lunch, I went back to our room with the key to change to sandals. Then suddenly when leaving....

"Where's the key?"

Looked back to our door. Closed...... oops.

Less than 5 minutes and got locked out...hehe

First day there went for a recce to see what could be done.

After a hell lot of change of planes we decided to make a small multi-purpose room.

After that went back.

Next day, 9 of us went to the site to start helping construction. The others went to the orphanage to play with the orphans.

It was quite a fun experience, digging holes in the ground. there was a stupid hole with 3 layers and the thickest 1 was like rock solid...>.<

Played around a little. Had some fried tapioca(damn nice)

Finish digging holes, went back hotel, eat, sleep... and then the next day.

The construction team and the orphanage team switch places for the 2nd day.

Went to the orphanage to play with the orphans.... and it was a damn crazy place......but fun ^^

Bout noon, when back to the hotel and stay there for whole day. At night went out to eat and go do a little shopping. =D

Stuff were damn cheap. ^^ Bought quite a few stuff.

Last day..... the whole class did a performance for the orphans XD.

It was fun ^^.

After that, took a ferry back after doing some more shopping.

Reached hostel about 8.30 pm

A week in M'sia.

I was bored so i decided to post something on my blog.

Anyways.. came back to M'sia on the 14th. Sunday did nothing.... Monday did nothing..... apart from moving the internet line to my room.

Tuesday had a small gathering with friends talk about what is happening now etc.

Wednesday went to play badminton. just to reduce my rustiness.

Now Thursday... going out soon and then by this time tomoro going be back in S'pore liao.

well.... many things happen on this day..

Firstly, we got our promo results today. Went to school at 12, then after that went to the PAC to get our results. Then they flashed on the screen the top students. Sadly, i'm no more in honour list as it is only for those with 3H2 distinctions and above and i only got 2 TT.

Ah well.... my name got flashed on the screen anyways later. Top in Maths ^^.(needed to brag) ^^.

This is the first time in my life that I went out for 3 days in a row.... to Orchard somemore. Reason being? It was the same for the first and third days, the reason..... but for the 2nd day, went there to watch

so.... what can i say? it was ok i guess. I dunno whether it' anything overly special.... but the movie was damn long.

Let's see... i'll be going home soon ^^. But then will be back when the week is over.

Spend maybe a dollar or two a day. For me bringing 10 was a hell lot for food.

Nowadays it's all changed. I can bring $50 to school. Oddly enough I didnt feel anything when changing from bringing so little to bringing so much.... i wonder why.

Btw, why did i bring this subject up?

I was carrying bout RM1200 in my wallet juz now.... for my OCIP and camp at end of year, roughly $500. Thats a hell lot well for me...

Yes, today i had my first A-level exam, which was Malay......... That's one down at least now i can burn my Malay stuff without worrying bout it being used again. ^^

The average Malaysian....

is stupid at Maths. This is what i found out recently( well technically i've known it for quite a long time but then i just reconfirmed what i have been thinking).

I was just seeing my old AMC marks in secondary school. Oddly i took the same level test for this year and last.

Last year, i got a total of 54 points. Top 5% in my region and got a high distinction. ^^

This year, I got a total of 74 points. Top 11% in my region and only a distinction >.<

Really.. see the difference in standard?

so nice nearly like one week hols. I "finished" exam last Monday but then still go Malay last Wed.

Thursday went to ECP, this time cycle all the way to Changi Beach from there and back about 20km + nice nice ^^.

Hmm hmm let's see whats happening nowadays.

exam is starting nxt Monday ...=(. at least it's going to "end" for me on Next next monday as really... it's Malay on wednesday which is the last day. so who cares ^^.

i'm not sure how the marking went but i noe i got 74 marks but dunno out of how much. Then my percentile marks was 90 so it sounds nice ^^

There were 93 students that took part in it. i was no. 5 in the whole school. ^^

The top 4 were all Vietnamese... who are actually good in maths, i think their syllabus on maths even is harder than S'pore, wat more M'sia.

The top 6 were all foreigners btw.

T o all my M'sians friends out there it means East Coast Park.

5 of us, Me, Boon, Randy, Hillary and Adit went there to cycle(well Boon brought his skates so he didn't cycle.)

Left at like 3.25. Reached at about 4.10, 4.20. Waited for Randy who came from another place.

Got our bikes at bout 5.30. Then we cycled. Suppose to cycle to Changi Beach but then we had a 2 hour time limit and at the start we went to a few other places, so we only reached like 1 km before Changi then we turned back.

Halfway it was drizzling a bit, then i said out "Oi Hillary"

He turned around.

I pointed to the sky.

He curved his fingers and moved his hand down.

I nodded.

Then he flicked his wrist and gave the "who-cares" look

Then Adit was like "nice one!"

lol...

After cycling, went to a hawker centre near here to eat dinner.

Left the place at bout 9.40. reached hostel bout 10.20.

All in all a good day ^^

So... term 3 holidays has started already. I seriously need to start mugging now. Can't let other things bother me right now. Decided to stop anywayz.

Long overdue post...

Ok so, a damn long overdue post. Let's see, on the 20th August i wen to an F1 talk in NUS.

And the talk was conducted by none other than Steve Slater, commentator of Formula 1 for espsnstarsports.

3 of us went, and i mean 3 as in 3 hostellites. Me, Hillary and Boon. I went for the F1. Hillary went for the Physics, and Boon? Well... he's a Bio student and doesnt take phy so he went there for fun.

So we left hostel bout 5.30 reached there about 6.20. The thing oni starts at 7 so we had time to kill.

Sat down on the bench and did hw.

So at around 7, we went in.

The talk was quite interesting. I could recognize most of the F1 pictures he shown. ^^. I could even guess what were the pictures he was gonna show.

Anywayz he made one mistake about a picture,
It wasnt exactly this picture but it was this car. He said it was the car that Nigel Mansell used to to win the 1992 world championship which was the FW14B.

Firstly, the colour of the car is wrong aledi. Firstly, Rothmans(the sponsor), only started sponsoring Williams in 1994 and above. Hence it cant be in 1992. 2nd, the number on it is 0. That means this is Damon hill's car in either 1994 or 1993. 3rd, the nose. It is curved downwards connected to the front wing. Only in 1994 and before had Williams use this type of front wing. Hence it's a 1994 car FW16.

So, after the talk, got food ^^ YAY. Heck it was quite nice for this small occasion.

It's fun having friends from different countries.

Anywayz, was watchin badminton world championships recently. Before i came here, whenever there was badminton, when i see the lineups, i always just saw the country.

If it was Indonesia, China, Korea, Denmark etc, the first thing that would come to mind would be the country itself.

Now when i see the countries, i remember the people from the country that i know here.

So when Malaysia was knocked out in the MD semifinal to China and Korea. I laughed a bit too myself cuz they would just spring into my head.

For example, last time when China kept appearing and kept winning, i used to think of them as to strong, no fun, dun like China at all.

Now when i hear about China, a different image keeps appearing in my mind and i am always kinda amused by it.

MYE results...

Avoiding the fact that my Econs got screwed up and my Chem was a bit under par, i did just well for my MYE ^^.

Hmm... Phy and Maths A, so it's okay. Seeing the fact that my class was supposed to be the one of the best class as the O' level result for my class was actually quite good, i did quite well compared to the rest.

If we counted in Mother Toungue, i would be the 3rd best in class in terms of A's, and if we didnt count Mother toungue, i would be tied for first. ^^

And the top 3 in my class in terms of A's would be the 3 ppl who did not take SG O'levels. In other words, the 3 Malaysians Merit Award holders ^^.

I didnt get my Mother toungue A and they did so that's why they beat me >.<. Hey, my Malay has been cursed for life.... well maybe not for life but since Std 6 lar.

Anywayz, i just realised my class got owned by a PRC girl that is not even a scholar. Just a normal foreigner. Damn frickin smart like GODLIKE(lol... using DotA slang) Oh yea to my peeps from my old school, i think she is equivalent to Yuee Jhian smartness......=.="

Badminton !!!!!!

Hmm hmm, it's been a long time since i wrote a post on badminton. I guess even before i came to SG which is like 4 months?

So anyway had my last badminton training session for this month and also for a long while.

I have been playing one of my best badminton in my life so far even though i have not played in 2 and a half months before this.(Must be the gym ^^)

So today after backhand lobbing training, footwork training, played a hell lot of games. 11 in total

First up was doubles. Me and Kean Weng against 2 girls(don't know thier names). Haih nowadays cannot play with Kean Weng ledi.

Lost the 1st game 21-17, Won 2nd 21-15, Kean Weng had to "retire" in the 3rd cuz of cramps when trailing 18-14.

Next up another doubles. Me-Man Chun vs Reuben-Pui Jin(not sure how to really spell their names) Even though played one game was very good for me ^^.

Still lost 21-19 T_T.

Next game Me-Derrell vs The same pair from above. Lost 21-16. Was fun though.

Next up was 2 single matches for me. All going to 3 games...>.<. Lost both sadly.

First was against Pui Jin. 21-10, 19-21, 17-21. >.< was so close, could win in 2 straight games

Next was againt Nick. 21-13, 10-21, 15-21.

Ah well still a very good day for me in Badminton ^^.

...which stands for Island Defense Headquarters. Today, the J1s went to Maju camp(which is for the NS btw) for some activities.

Firstly went to auditorium to hear some talk. Then we went to the cafeteria for some refreshments. Hmm the cream puffs was quite nice ^^. Then we went to the hall above the cafeteria to see some booths.

The first booth that i saw was the taser gun OoO. Very nice, too bad i couldn't get a chance to shoot it. TT.

They even showed the food they used to give to the soldiers. I didnt try it, it was spicy TT. Then there was facepaint, u noe those green stuff.

There was also a siren that travelled in a tunnel direction which made it propel in a straight line without any leakage of sound. Well that's wat the guy said.

Ltr we went to the shooting range ^^. Best part, I shot using a gun !!!!! WEEE.

The first gun i shot was the SAR-21 with the grenade launcher. Sadly couldnt shoot any live grenades ...hehe



Next gun i shot was the GPMG(i think. stands for General purpose Machine Gun)

Shot very few rounds. Hmm the recoil wan't as bad as i thought it was.

Then there was a demonstration, quite cool.

Then left back for CJC.

Sorry for the long overdue post. I should have posted this 2 days ado...zz then internet went down.

fufufufu..... yesterday went and watch the performing arts group perform their SYF pieces.

one word.... COOL!!!!!

Well the first group wasnt that nice for me becuz it was a chinese drama by the chinese cultural society.....so it was all in mandarin.... lol. And me being me... well u all noe ^^.

2nd one was CJ Dance. another one word.... ROX. It was a new piece. They did not perform it during SYF. It was like hip-hop that type.

Then the nxt one up was Guzheng. It was ....different lar for me. nvr hear it before

After the guzheng was the Dance's SYF piece which was more ...hmm.... how would u put it..... It had more feel.

Then it was intermission...lol

After that was Choir. Hmm dunno how to say how good it was... lol. it was juz very good.

After choir was Guitar ......something forgot the full name. It was nice but it was very normal because it was all synchronized.

Lastly was Band which was very very nice and it was a damn bid group.

Finished bout 9.40 liddat.

Then went GYM later yay lol.

... is tomoro. That means Monday no school YAY, another holiday.

Holidays are so damn scarce in Singapore.

Something different i notice in S'pore compared to M'sia.

Firstly, the attendance rate per class everyday is like always nearly 100%. Hardly ever got anybody absent. In M'sia, well to be more exact, in 5 Setia, having 3 people not come one day was the norm and the only few times everybody came when there was PJ..... swt

Secondly, one time my fren lost his wallet in school. In M'sia, it was as good as gone, but here somebody actually did find it AND return it. In SMSJ, when somebody actually did that, they'll announce to the whole school.... that's how RARE it is.

Another thing would be the discipline that is enforced here. Compared to M'sia it's a bit slacking. U noe the long hair and all those minor stuff are less enforced. Only those!!!!! If u miss school in M'sia, after a few days theyll forget bout askin 4 parents letter or MC. Here? They'll chase for an MC until they get it.....

Damn shit this is sounding like a GP essay.....

Reach Cambridge.....

Ah yes this program, it lets u go Cambridge for 2 weeks and experience the life there an also stud econs, yes Cambridge, England u noe the island beside Europe lol.... It seems that it is available for most of the subjects.

I applied for the Econs Reach Cambridge as it is the only one available to me.

Suppose to do an essay not exceeding 2000 words.

I actually forgot bout the essay until like 3 days b4 the deadline....oops. I only like started the essay the day before the deadline....zz, procrastination's the word.

Deadline was 17 April btw.

Then today got the result....i got in to the shortlisted 6..... one word... SURPRISE was etched on my face....i was like WTH!!!!!!!

Well i'm still not sure going as only 4 people can go and i'm part of the reserved 2.... ah well. 6 people consists 4 girls 2 guys. The 2 guys are sumore from the same class.... and he's my roommate sumore lol.

The thing is in August so it's a long way to go and it may cost quite a sum of money before subsidising so hoping that it can subsidise alot ^^.

A day out...

So woke up at 7 this morning to run. Damn shit bruised my leg the other day and could only run 5 laps today. Haih... NAPFA nxt week=.= , Yay my pull-ups getting better from 0 in start of Feb to 4 in April. Thats like 2 a month ^^. Aiming for 8 before Jun hols. Need to go gym more ^^.

Ran from hostel past SJI, went through Botanical gardens, and then reached Orchard. According to Erik(my maths tutor) it was 10km.... We did it in an hour liddat after resting a bit and for me i was walking quite a bit cuz of my bruised leg.

Luckily we didnt run back. We took a cab ^^. It was like 10.30 at that time so a bus may be too late.

Hmm... so it's this Saturday. I'm not sure yet if i'm gonna ask my frens to take my stuff for me anot... see first lor.

Let see... talking bout SPM, i had a conversation with my tutor about it.

I said that SPM is so easy to score straight A1's that so many can get it so it seems very worthless.

He said even though it is easy to score straight A1's, how many people out of the whole nation got it? Very little i think.

It made me start to think.... if it was so ez y did only like less than 20 get straight A1's in our school.

It seems easy yet it seems hard. I like to contradict what i say ^^.

Was suppose to run 7 laps round the track in 11.45. about 1.45 a lap.

3rd lap: stitch kicked in and needed to walk.

Physics Project

Ah yes our physics on sports project that we need to hand up on 22nd April.

Hmm .... i still dunno y i signed up for this project... ah well. It was actually given to us before the holidays like 2nd week of Feb.

So at the start we didnt know wat should be done. Because of my influencing skills ^^. We did about badminton. To be more specifically, jump smash. ^^

For the month leading up to the deadline we were just talking bout theory what can be done what should be researched bla bla bla.

We only started the practical today..... i didnt really smashed, we had no time. So we just measured the force exerted by the racquet onto the shuttle using a force meter or something of the sort.

It was quite hard to measure because the force sensor was a hook like shaped and the racquet had many gaps in between so it was a bit inaccurate. so we had to increase the surface area of the racquet.

I couldnt really hit it as hard as i could because it was MY racquet. TT

First reading....4 N . i was like wth. 2nd readin was 10 N i think.... 3rd reading dunno what happen it didnt even move. then the last reading... 40 N. woohoo the limit for the sensor was 50 N anyways.

Now we are juz finalising the details. ^^

CJCH EXUBERANCE 2009!!!!!!

So CJCH had their hostel performance day today.

Phew luckily at the last minute i didnt need to act ^^. I suck at acting =.=

I honestly thot that the JCs play was going to be very umm.... not good. But in the end it turned out to be one of the better ones.

Lunch was pushed one hour earlier than usual at 11. So at 12 everybody got ready to go to the college's LT2.

Started a bit late because Brother Paul came late....

First up was "Save the Hippo, Save the Day"....

This one was diff from the first 2. This was much more serious compared to the 2 earlier ones which was funny. It was also quite scary and the lighting they used was nice for the scene.

OoO chess... (PART B)

Ah yes so today was the 2nd day of the competition of the chess tournament....

Hmm what can i say...

So, left for Hwa Chong college at 8.30. Reached there bout 8.40. Went upstairs to the room at 9.

Started our first match at 9.30. Our Team B was against Dunham High School. I think High school means Sec school.

And.... I won ^^. A bit worried at first eventhough i had the advantage but manage to hold on.

But our team still drawed 2-2. Ah well. The Team A won against Pioneer JC Team B 4-0. According to them, 3 out of 4 of their oppopnents gave them free queen.....swt

And so waited for our nxt match at 11.30 and we were up against....... Pioneer JC Team B.. yay lol.

And so we played...... I was the 2nd one to finish my match and i won yipee. And yes i did get a free queen and through killing the queen with my knight i forked rook and king double yipee.

The first guy in my team to finish just pulverised the opponent. When on my board only 2 pieces was gone the other guy already took 1 queen, 2 bishop, 2 rook, 1 knight if i'm not mistaken.... Pwnage.

So our team won 4-0.

On to our third match. We were up against.....Raffles....... i was like "shit". Ah welll.... played...we lost 4-0..... At least 4 me i think i challenged the guy quite a bit. We had exactly the same pieces left only he had a few more pawns.

In the end i'm not sure wat place we finished because we were like 10th before the final match and we lost so.... we wont get any prize.

Team A finished with 3 win, 1 draw , 3 loss.

Team B with 2 win, 2 draw, 3 loss

Left at bout 2.40, reached college bout 3.

Ah well, tomoro is gonna be one hell of a day.

OoO chess..

Just came back from chess competition today.

Woke up at bout 7.40 then eat breakfast then left for Hwa Chong.

Reached there bout 8.40 then met up with my team.

Btw, my college send 2 teams, Team A and Team B. I was with team B. I think it was the supposedly weaker team but we were ranked higher because we had 2 ppl in our team with ranking while Team A had only 1.

We were ranked 8th while Team A was 10th out of 18 teams. Quite sad for Team A, cuz since they were 10th, they needed to fight the 1st ranked team(which was ACJC Team A btw). It was like this,1st vs 10th, 2nd vs 11th, 3rd vs 12th ...and so on.

So my team fought with the 17th ranked team which was Pioneer JC Team A. The format for one match was playing 4 games per match, so there were 4 ppl in one team and one reserve.

We thrashed them 4-0. ^^. My first win yay.CJ Team A lost 3.5-0.5, the only draw came from Bo Hui(Malaysian Merit Award holder same like me ^^) He could've won. It was quite equal on the board but the opponent had like only less than 5 mins left while Bo Hui had more than 20 >.<

That was the 1st round. On to the 2nd round.

We were up against Victoria JC Team A. (PS: this team had the highest ranked player there). We lost this round..... 4-0. Ah well at least i gave this person a challenge. CJ Team A was up against Jurong JC, they won 3-1.

3rd round, we were up against ..... shit forgot ...zz. ah well this one i lost again =.= but our team drew 2-2. Our team A drew as well.

so the 4th round, I think we were up against Victoria JC team B. Im not sure of the score cuz i left after i finish my match....which i lost..... TT, made too many mistakes.

Then i waited for Bo Hui to finish his match then we left for the hostel.

RAINED LIKE HELL, got frickin wet.

Dam pro la Bo Hui, the only person undefeated in CJ, 3 win 1 draw. the next 3 rounds will be nxt week.

Stayed in the hostel the whole day, lazy go out =p. Yay finally finished my PI.... for the 2nd time zz.

Yay finally a first public holiday and it's a friday so 3 days of hols. ^^

I just read blogs of 2 people i know. What i read is laughable at best.

I am just deducing that those 2 are writing about each other, based on my observations.

They were bitching about how the other betrayed the other...... more or less one was bitching first and the other juz responded. Let's just call the first blog as A and the 2nd one as B.

"A", to put it simply, when i read it, I was half annoyed and half "now u noe what it feels like". He wrote like he was a person who had never betrayed anybody in that department when he unknowingly did. U could have said we werent close that time but it still was... betrayal.

In my opinion the more he talks like this the more adult-like he will become. U think it's good? One word. Bullshit. I will never truly respect an adult unless he/she can sincerely say sorry to somebody younger than them whenever they are wrong.

In my opinion, adults have extremely big egos. They will always think they are correct and they will never concede. Whenever they have done something to someone, it's always "OK, no worries" but when the same thing happens to them, they will start to bitch about it to no end.

Let's get back to the main point. He is like making a fuss over something so common. U have done it before, so i ask u these questions, did u ever think about what ur "friends" will feel if u didnt tell them? Did u try and place urself in their shoes? And if u did y did u still keep it a secret?

I can answer the last question for u. EVERYBODY HAS SECRETS.....DUH. No matter how close 2 ppl are there will always be secrets that cannot be shared. For what reason? It depends on the individual. Furthermore, u are only talking about 1 secret....1!!!!!! and now u feel like u dont know the person anymore?!?! CANT U GROW UP?!?!

I guess u must have a damn good life if nobody has ever betrayed u in ur whole life. Wait, i pity u actually. U must have not have many friends because "only friends will betray you, a stranger has nothing to gain from it".

I have friends, they keep secrets from me, when i noe there are secrets. Of course i feel betrayed sometimes depending on the secret, but wth thats life, live with it. I have my own secrets i keep from them, they may feel betrayed they may not. I dunno, i'm not them.

And yet we are still friends because we have learned how to live with each other, accept each other, know each other. We know the boundaries, we know when to step over it and when to not step over it.

I am normally a very calm guy who analyses a situation thoroughly, thinking about the consequences before making any decisions but now i am just rushing into it headlong not caring bout the consequences. I know the worst outcome that can come out from this but i am readily accepting it.

U kept secrets from me, i knew it through a different source, i felt betrayed and maybe if u read this blog u would maybe understand a bit more of the reason i taoed u. I have accepted it and move on. I ask u one last question, have u?

For "B" then i would say that it is immature of u to reply to something that is already, in my opinion, very immature itself. U may be wrong, u may not be wrong but it all depends on people's opinions. For your situation, i wouldnt call u wrong nor right, i would only comment it wasnt as serious as mine. Mine was much more closer....to the heart u could say.

I leave it up to both of you to decide what u want to decide( but based on what i have seen, you have decided it already) because i franky do not care, because it has nuthin to do with anythin i care about so far.

Today was a very nice day for F1 ^^. U see rite because the Ntv7 was much faster than the Starsports as in the Ntv7 was much more "live" so i could use the Live Timing in the F1 website ^^.

It was dam fun. Can see all the laps and everythin the timing, was so fun having so much info at my hand =D.

Sigh another pointless day for Ferrari, at least it was stopped half distance so Ferrari didnt lose much =D.

Ah so well, another uneventful Saturday, stayed in the hostel again the whole day, lazy wanna go out =p.

Juz saw CJ's yearbook 2008. Much better than any school yearbook i have ever seen, better than SJians one and a HELL lot better than SU's one ^^.

It seems that Erik is starting to run to some funny places every week nowadays..... I couldnt run with him today cuz my right calf injured TT. Today he is gonna run to Bukit Timah >.<

At least PE is getting more fun nowadays. ^^ There is still some crazy PEs but at least now got games. My class, T13, along with T10, T02 and T23(i think) are under the same PE teacher but different time of course are playing softball. And there is gonna be an interclass competition in the 4th week which is 2 weeks from now.

I pity T10 cuz well, their class is opposite of ours they have 18 girls 4 guys compared to our 23 guys 3 girls ^^. Does it seem a bit unfair? It may be ^^ but u nvr noe. Furthermore, we have 2 ppl in our class that played softball b4 and one of them is a girl so we have maybe a bit more of an advantage. ^^

I find it very odd...

Many ppl say that Singapore's education is better in more ways than one and yet there are some things that have never been learned by them.

Firstly in Maths, they have not studied A.P. and G.P...... we only learned it this year in JC1 compared to the M'sians hu learned it last year. Now we are starting a topic called "Functions" which seems a hell lot harder than the M'sia version but it seems the SGians have not studied it b4 as we they were teaching wat is domain, codomain, range, one-to-one and the rest. =.=

Then they have never learned the law of conservation of momentum in Physics, u noe the inelasticc and elastic stuff.

Nearly every CCA(kokurikulum to those M'sians) has competitions not like the lackness of competitions in M'sia. And not some low class competitions, it's all crazy high class type.

So ultracompetitive....zz.

Ahh yes the last day of this month.

Muahahaha i can finally do 1 pull-up YAY. Now aiming for 5 ^^.

Another Tuesday come and gone means another PE lesson finished. Luckily the PE sessions is no more mass PE so it is juz ab bit less crazy.... only a BIT.

So what did we do today?

20 GSTs.......zz. I injured my right calf and had a cut on my left foot before doin the GSTs...so....ggla. But i still finished those damn 20 GSTs u noe.

What a hectic day....

As u can see from the title a day which i thot would be a normal saturday turned into something much much different....

It started out with waking up at 7....... zz. I WAS supposed to run in the morning but in the end got lazy becuz was too tired. (that's what u get for sleeping at 1 am =p)

Slept after breakfast. Woke up around 10.30. My laptop got sumthin wrong, at least its still usable.

Had lunch then went to Toa Payoh buy some groceries, came back around 2.50 then went to the TV room and see whether got F1, and IT DID YAY!!!!!!!, it was on ntv7 lol.

Then like at 5 pm i went to jog on the track, did 4 rounds oni....zz

After having dinner at 6, ltr at around 8 we decided to go for an "outing". "Outing " as meaning that we were going to jog to our destination... yes jog, not some slow jog those normal quite fast jog.

I thot we were going to jog to Novena.... see i used the word "thot", thats because in the end we didnt jog to Novena. Well i didnt noe that until we reached our destination.

I was like "hmm this is takin quite long". I had a bit of a clue that we werent stopping at Novena because while i was jogging i passed a place and there was this sign that said "Newton".(which is after Novena btw)

I was like "....great".

In the end we ended up in Orchard......swt. took bout 24 min. In the end we didnt do anythin at Orchard....zzz. so we left for Novena to eat ice-cream...weeee

To Novena we walked most of the way. i had a scoop of Haagen Dasz...^^ then went to burger king order drink at sit down talk talk for a while.

Then we jogged back.......zz

All in all a crazy day and my legs are killing me =.=

So yes i am back in SG. I couldnt do everything i really wanted to do in MY this holidays but u lose some, u gain some rite?

BADMINTON....AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Yipee had badminton again today ^^. But it was just me and Jer Renn ....=.=

Ah well not many ppl are holidaying rite now so not many ppl free.....

Woke up with an injured right calf and a injured left knee(i think), and my back was aching from training(which hardly ever happen before so my fitness decreased as well i think eventhough i went gym in SG)So Jer Renn picked me up at my house at like 10.20, then we went to 3K.

Dam shit my stamina has decreased like hell. Warming up already i was getting a bit tired. And all this while i thot that the running around the track help increase my stamina ...zzz

So i loss to Jer Renn first match in 2 straight games 21-13,21-11....sigh made too many mistakes ....

During the 2nd game me and Jer Renn needed a break at the when he reached 11 LOL just like a real match.

After the match which was dam tiring and was only like 40 minutes....swt. Me and Jer Renn played net singles....lol it was more like normal singles except play net only.

In this 1 i got a game from him lol but still lost like...18-21,21-14,21-12.

Then ltr we did some miniature training ^^. It was more like the smashing and defending training type. Did that for like 15 minutes oni. Ltr played another singles match.

During this singles match Jer Renn was practicing his backhand service. But i still lost to him in all 3 games we played.

Ltr went to A&W to eat lunch. After eating lunch, Jer Renn fetch me home so i can take bath then after that he fetch me go school so can collect my result slip and stuff.

Ltr after school went and pick Vincent up so we go Etika Jaya see see a bit. But then it was closed .... Ah well i guess he took of for a holiday then.

Then ltr we went parade hang out and talk talk for a while at the Dessert Bar. Then left at about 3.45 liddat go see whether Etiak Jaya open anot again...but it wasnt. Ah well

Weeeeee, had badminton today ^^. Long time nvr play badminton, a bit rusty liao. My hands were like tiring out so easily when warming up.....

My lobbing still needs some improvement, and my net skill has really gone down liao...zzz. shit shit shit need play more. Nvm at least tomolo goin badminton again.^^

Played singles with Darell again. Hmm hmm still lost of course but at least got 2 digits.

Went out with Ben, Ginaesan and Chung Ee after training, go "yum cha" at Sri Devi. Tok tok a bit then left.

Got my results, 6A1's 3A2's and 1B3. Guess wat was B? Malay of course -.- zzz. The curse on me is still there lol.

Congrats to Kar Wyai,Gabriel for their straight A's and also congrats to every person for their straight A1's in my class(I assume this number of ppl is many thats y i don't want to list down the names =p).

Feelings....

Feelings is sumthing that really cannot be explained by words because there are so many different and special ways to express it.

Standing in front of the hostel... feeling the cold wind blow on my face, i felt ....cold. Something that has hardly ever in my life occurred to me that moment.

But then i felt something else, a different feeling, something that i have never felt before ...... emptiness ....It felt like nothing was there and yet there was something.

It felt different, it felt special, it felt ....good.... just for that moment, nothing to worry about, nothing to care about, just me and the world.... and maybe.....

Guess what? The NS ppl are back for 1 day already after 3 months.

Yes, but other than that?

12th of March is our long awaited SPM results. Seeing from ppl's blogs or msn names, it seems that everyone either doesn't want it to come or is scared for the results.

Me? I don't feel anything... seriously. I don't even care what I get for my SPM because it seems so insignificant compared to here in SG.

I won't even be back to take my results because i have school which to me for now is much more important than my SPM results.

And even if i did come back it would be one hell of a hectic day.

I just realised

i)that getting 8 hours of sleep at night is impossible, 7 hours considered lucky, 6.5 hours shud be the norm and 5 hours if u got a hell lot of hw. TT

ii) that i should sleep after dinner to add to my sleeping hours. =p

iii) Mass PE is going to get tougher.....

iv) my calf is killing me...

v) there is a cross country run tomorrow...

vi)gym = good lol.

vii) hmm dunno what else to say.... going sleep now.

I'm sorry....

to everyone in my beloved IG22 during the Rockafella concert today. I'm sorry for the way i behaved.

But then there was some good that came out of that, fortunately, I found out that most of my IG mates did some things that some of my friends back in MY would never do it and for that I am thankful i have my IG mates ^^.

So wat can i say bout Rockafella? Hmm.... it was ok i guess wasn't like "IT'S THE BOMB!!!!" Only the 2 last bands that played was nice.

Did u know like nearly a quarter of the time i was there i was actually thinking(being at a rock concert is not a good place to think due to the high level of noise..lol).

What was i thinking u ask? I was thinking bout why is there 2 ways for me to choose in my life...... Should i juz give up one? or try and walk both at the same time..... I am really confused.

Mass PE

Ah yes, today along with a few other classes had Mass PE.(well if it was just my class then it wont be called Mass PE now would it?)

If u had added me in fb then u would have seen what i wrote. If u didn't then here it is..."During Mass PE, SHIT happens".

The above statement has 2 meanings.

First meaning would be the normal meaning which means that ...well..... after a very vigorous exercise session most ppl would say "Dam shit!" or sumthin liddat.

Second meaning would be S.H.I.T. which stands for Super High Intensive Training(u can switch the Training with Torture i guess lol)

So wat did we do?

First it was like 7 laps around a designated course in the school compound because it was raining or not we would have to run on the track....in less than 10min and 45 secs. Ah yes the 7 laps were like 2.4 km in total.

After those 7 laps my legs were like jelly like.

Ltr we went to the hall extension to do our next training.

So first we did push ups. Sounds easy? Well after doing 7 laps it was a hell more tougher than normal. And to top it off they count it for us so it was much more slower than my normal speed.

First we did 20 push ups.

Ah yes before i continue, there is something i need to tell. During Mass PE the teacher would ask some questions and we had to reply it in a certain way.

It went something like this...

Teacher : How are you feeling?
Students: Wonderful!!!!!!

Teacher : Are you ready?
Students: Ever ready!!!!!

Teacher : Any sweat?
Students: No sweat!!!!!
(ironically while i was saying this in the push ups position i saw my sweat dripping from my face lol)

Teacher : How many more?
Students: Many many more!!!!

Teacher : How far?
Students: All the way!!!!!

Teacher :Is it tough?
Students: Not enough!!!!!!!

Teacher : Diamond Push Up!!!
Students: Index to index , Thumb to thumb!!!!!!!

51st post

I juz noticed that my last post was my 50th but i was too pissed off on not being able to go out with my IG mates that i didnt notice it. =p

So.... let's have a recap since i first came here.

It's been exactly 3 weeks since i first came here.

I have only went out like 3 times for an outing.

Just went on an outing today with other hostelites.

My maths tutor stays in the hostel as well.....which is a good thing and a bad thing. U see the good thing is if i have a prob with my hw can ask him but then there will be no reason for me to NOT do my hw. =p

6 ppl from my hostel are in the same class as me so doing homework is much more efficient. ^^

Played football and also basketball and table tennis as well.

Jogged 3km straight the other day.

Went to the gym like 5 times this week. =D

ARGHHHH, my IG has an outing today and i got curfew.... NOOOOOOO.

SO unfair.... they should make Friday's curfew longer.

Ah well the only thing i can do now is sit back and complain.

Hmm hmm i guess my blog needs another update so here it is.

So today had an SD(student development) lesson, which was very cool. We were suppose to answer a survey that determines our element.

And element i mean as water, earth,fire and air. They even use clips from Avatar describing each element and their kung-fu style.

I wanted FIRE!!!!!!!!. But in the end i got Earth... TT. And it was like crazy high score for earth. It was like there were 4 options each line. U rate the best as 4 and the worst as 1. My total number of points was 40 for earth....out of 40. swt.....

Ah well u can't have everything going ur way rite?

14th of February...

... is also known as Valentine's day.

So what did this valentineless person do? hmm .... He went out with other valentineless people of course =p.

But first the hostelites of CJCH had their hostel games ^^.

First up was the cheer from each team. Btw the teams were named Pink Patrix(mine), 00T, The Joker, The Cullens, Yes Man, Cicakman, Fuzzy Wuzzy, Garda, I Charmander and Shrek.

After each team's cheer, it was time for Captain's Ball. It was split into 2 groups, Pool A and Pool B.

Pool A had Pink Patrix, Yes Man, Fuzzy Wuzzy, Shrek, and I Charmander.
Pool B had The Joker, Garda, Cicakman, 00T, and The Cullens.

There were 2 halves in a match. Each half was 7 minutes long. We won against Fuzzy Wuzzy, then lost to Yes Man, then we beat Shrek.

The last match against I Charmander was a do-or-die match.This was because we won 2 and lost 1 while I Charmander had won 1 drawn 1 and lost 1. So we had to at least draw to go through.

The team that topped Pool A was Yes Man btw. We were down 6-5 at the first half. Then when the 2nd half finished, we got 8 points while they had 7 which meant 13-13 which in turn means that we go through to the 3rd place play off.. weee.

In Pool B, there were 2 teams that were evenly matched that was vying for the top. It was The Joker against Cicakman. They both won 3 matches each before meeting each other. And the result of that final match? a Draw....

But The Joker went through because they had scored more points. So we had to fight Cicakman for 3rd place. We were a bit tired so we didnt intend to win the match, we juz wanted to have fun. We lost btw.

So after that match i straight away ate lunch and got ready to go out with my IG22 mates. YAY. Went to the bus stop opp. my college at like 1.57 and waited like 10 mins!!!! for the bus zzz.

It took me like 20 minutes to reach our meeting place...

So i met up with Julian, Kirk, Ruizhi, Joline, Dorothea and Xin Yi at Plaza Sing(yes yes i noe there was only 7 ppl including me here out of the potential 26 but it was Valentine's day so wat can u expect?)

So they wanted to eat first, so we went to the food court.... which was closed...zz. Well since it was Valentine's day, the place was PACKED.

So we decided to go to the Cathay.... which according to my frens will be less packed. And so we went....

After eating, we were suppose to catch a movie.... i said suppose because in the end we didnt. I'm not sure of the reason myself ....lol.

So Kirk said "Wanna play LAN?" Ah yes b4 i move on, i juz learned sumthin new about SGians, when they say play LAN, it means playing LAN games, well more like FPS games rather. And in Malaysian terms it is called goin CC.(btw CC int SG means community centre... lol)

So we went to a place called Paradise(was it?) or Parklane. Oddly enough every CC there was full. Then we were like "Which kind of sad ppl go CC on Valentine's day?" lol.

So wat did we end up doing? We went to macs(which in Singapore is the short form for McDonald's.)

We sat there talking like for 2 hours++. It was actually VERY fun to sit there and talk for a few hours...lol.

At bout 5.20, Moses came to join us. Then at like 6.00 Ruizhi needed to go home to celebrate his father's b'day. Ltr Samuel came to join us as well. Moses needed to leave at like 7.00 for another appointment.

We left back to go to the Cathay(for some ppl it was for their dinner). Left the place at like 8 sumthin, used the MRT to go back then the bus.

IG22 we really really really need a BIGGER outing!!!!!!!!
